Coggins Required Lunch provided on grounds no cost to student Helments Required if Mounted on grounds at all times 7:30 – 8:00 Registration of Officers, Posse’s & SAR Teams 8:00 – 10:00:00 Nutrition & Management, Anatomy, Common Injures, How to Determine Injury versus Behavior Problems in Training, Tools everyone has for desensitization in their homes & barns. 10:00-12:00 Round Pen, Evaluating Common Training Problems and various Fix’s, Equine Basics of Correct Rider Position for Success 12:00 – 1:00 Lunch (provided, on premises) Gang Violence Lecture Presentation during lunch in Classroom/Cafeteria 1:00 – 3:45:00 Group A&B Beginning Horse Desensitization 3:45- 5:00 Obstacle Course cold course 9 Hours ( lunch provided ) Helmets Required if Mounted on grounds at all times 8:00 – 12:00=Group A New Obstacles (never seen equipment before at a State Training) for more advanced riders and horses. Trainer will determine who is eligible. 8:00-1200 =Group B Continuation of morning Desensitization & Warming of Obstacle Course 12:00 –1:00 – Lunch: Lecture, Recognition training of “Animal Abuse & the Tie into Drug Monies” Presentation during lunch Classroom/Cafeteria all must attend 12:00-4:00=Group A Full Hot Course all Equipment Loaded, Fireworks Training Group B Course Loaded to the Extent the Majority of group can handle 4:00 –5:00 For all persons deemed qualified Competition of State Badge and Bridle Trophy 4:00-5:00 All non participants of competition in small arena with horses that need work if Trainer okays further training for Horse & Rider 8:00 – 10:00 Classroom Lecture with Power Point on Formation Training 10:00 – 12:00 Tactical Formation, Lunch 12:00n – 1:00pm (provided on premises) Lecture on Animal Abuse Recognition and Tie into Gambling Conclusion (all must attend ) 1:00 – 2:00pm Tactical Drills without horses 2:00 – 5:00pm Formation training with Horses 8:00 – 12:00 Arrest Procedure Scenarios, Vehicular Stops, Dignitary Vehicle Extraction 12:00 – 1:30pm Lunch (provided on premises) Lecture and review of all material presented for TCLEOSE test 1:30-2:15 TCLEOSE test administered for entire class of four day school 2:15 –2:45 Review of material, evaluations of Instructors, & Trainers evaluation of each horse from notes taken by entire staff during training and suggestions for further correcting problems. 2:45-4:00 Prepare horse and rider for Tack & Uniform Inspection for graduation 4:00-4:15 Tack and uniform Inspection 4:15- 5:00 Graduation Ceremonies, Presentation of Achievement Award’s, followed by Graduation Certificates, State Trophy’s Awarded to Winning team for the Badge and Bridle Trophy recognition certificates |
